E3 09: PSP Go Priced and Given Release Date

Costs $250, Comes Out October 1st.

by 00.19

Sony's little secret that wouldn't stay in the closet, the PSP Go, now has a release date and price. I've been waiting to see just what Sony was going to charge for the updated handheld ever since the Qore episode leaked. Thankfully, they kept it under $300, but unfortunately, just barely. For $250, you'll be able to get your hands on one of these bad boys starting October 1st.

Be sure to check back for more on the PSP Go, as I'm sure you're just as curious as I am what Coop and Sarah are going to think.

ARGH!!!! Why so expensive? The original PSP was this price but I don't know if I would want it at the moment. I'm not going to upgrade, but I might pick it up as a separate hand-held.

O.K. my honest question, is Sony trying their hardest to continue to stay out of the competition when their competitors have way more to offer at better prices. The new PSP looks cool, but 1st it's to expensive, 2nd now no UMD drive, so Sony is going to convince retailers to sell their product and that customers can only come in to buy this system and not to return again because the games are bought online, where retailers make most of their money off of the games and their accessories, 3rd if your original PSP is not selling in leaps and bounds like .....oh I dunno the Nintendo's DS why bring out a new more expensive system and expect people to buy it. Also not to mention that the economy sucks. I wonder who is in charge of Sony's marketing cuz their ass needs to be fired!

I'll stick with my 2000 Model, at least I can still download games into it.
