Well, the true first salvo of worthwhile game teasers from E3 has arrived, and so far, everything is at least looking pretty damned good. Case in point, the latest Gran Turismo 5 trailer. It's got pretty cars, pretty race tracks, and um, that's about it. I don't know what else Polyphony could have put in this trailer in order to generate more interest, but despite the beautiful graphics, I've got say, GT5 looks pretty boring.

Yeah, I know this is a racing game, and typically, there isn't much else to do in a racing game other than race, but it looks so dry and unexciting. I'm not expecting this game to be Split/Second or anything, but not one single moment in this trailer had me thinking, "Yeah, now that's some incredible racing." It's all legal passes and slow turns. Where's the fun in that? I suspect we'll hear more about the title (like a real release date) at Sony's press conference this week, so be sure to check back for our coverage of that event starting at 3PM (12 PM PST) on Tuesday.
