Fable II Online Co-Op Will Make It Day One
Patch Will Be Ready in Time For Launch
by 00.19
People looking forward to Fable II have had their emotions put through the wringer over the last month or so. First the game was ready to go gold. Then the online co-op was taken out. Next, the special edition had some bonuses taken out. But today, you Fable fans can rejoice. The official Lionhead blog has revealed that a patch for online co-op would be available the moment you put the game into your 360.
Remember a couple of days ago (or was it a week) where on a blog it was mentioned that Fable II would be shipping 'without' Online Co-op? And remember we said we were busting our balls to get it ready in time for a 'Day One' release? Well - good news folks! It looks like we've done it...for all of you who are connected to Xbox Live, when starting up your copy of Fable II (on 21st October in USA, 24th October in Europe and 18th December in Japan). So all of you getting upset and all, you wouldn't even have noticed... Sort of. Well done to the team.
Taken into account we don't fail certification!
While I personally wasn't too worried about the online co-op portion, I was a little disappointed in the developer for releasing a game that wasn't 100% done after they had said it was. Guess all that is forgiven now. Of course, you all now have to look forward to me joining your game and killing your family. That's just how I roll.

And this is why you should shut your mouth until you're confident that no major changes will be made to your game. There has been so much flip-flopping lately, it's hard to take Lionhead Studios seriously nowadays.

Well, i've already fallen off the Fable II bandwagon and I fell pretty hard. Its going to take a lot from them to even remotely peak my interest in this game again, they can start by getting the sweet collectors edition that they had back together and give the people what they said they would.
Fable II without online co-op wouldn't make it a bad game. Hell, I was counting on getting it launch day either way.
I wonder if they rushed this through due to the reaction to Peter's begging.
I'm still pissed about the collectors edition, but I already got my ten dollars back from Gamestop.
coming next, online co-op is still here, but we cut out the single player
Soooo... why is the online co-op not on the disc? There's still time Pete. You can fix this. Wait, what am I saying? You've already shot both feet clear out from under you.
Sean - The game has already gone gold, so it's too late to toss it on the disc now.
