Hot diggity damn this trailer is full of awesome. Clocking in at a robust seven minutes, which still pales in comparison to the ten minutes Kojima stole from my life with the latest Peace Walker trailer, Square's latest Final Fantasy XIII short film is packed to the gills with sequences that dare you to not want the game. Seriously, check it out. I'll wait.

Okay, so now that you've watched it we can talk about how fucking sweet that trailer was. I didn't understand a lick of what they were saying, but even when these games are localized I have a hard time keeping up. That said, not knowing what anyone was saying didn't really affect my enjoyment that much at all. I could filter out most of the dialogue, and just focus on the display of Square's visual dominance. The animations are cool. The backgrounds are insanely detailed. Characters look fantastic, both in action and during cut scenes. And did you see that fire car? I'm guessing that's Ifrit. Could be wrong, but it doesn't matter. That thing was bad-ass.

There's still no date for an American release, but you can bet I'll be in line day one for this bad boy. I haven't finished the last few FFs, but hopefully this one has what it takes to keep me interested all the way until the end. From the looks of it, XIII is off to a good start.
