Can you smell that? It’s the smell of friendships being pushed to the brink of extinction over improbable 15 broken tackle, 30-yard touchdown runs by Corel Buckhalter. It’s the smell of a controller you bit in frustration over that one-handed catch a computer controlled Brian Finneran made on 4th and 26. That smell can only mean one thing: it’s Madden season.

Every year the huddled midnight masses converge on countless game stores in the hope that this will be the year they’re the best at the biggest phenomenon since sliced bread. Now, EA is finally giving you the chance to prove it with online leagues. We’ve heard you talk the talk, but now we at Gamervision want to know if you can walk the walk.

You think you’re the best Madden player in the Gamervision community? Now’s your chance to prove it in the First Annual Gamervision Madden League. Myself, Sean, Coop, MikeyRaw196 and Veggie Jackson are looking for some saps to roll, and we’re hoping one of those saps will be you.

Right now, we’re gauging interest in which systems to run the league on. So if you’re interested in getting your butt handed to you, leave a comment- including the system you’re planning on getting Madden for. Just in case you were wondering, we are planning to have the league be fantasy drafted, so nobody gets stuck with the Raiders, and the league won’t be officially started until the beginning of September to give everyone time to get used to this year’s intricacies.
