First Look At NECA's BioShock Line
Would You Kindry Make 2010 Arrive Faster.

We're one day into San Diego Comic Con 2009, and already the onslaught of gaming news has begun. Though there's a lot of actual video games playable at the con, one of the things I was most disappointed in not getting to see first hand was the unveiling of NECA's BioShock figure line. Thankfully, the good folks over at Figures.com were on point on Preview Night, and snapped some pics of the 2010 shipping line.
In addition to that sweet as diorama that NECA made to show off the figures, we're treated to our first looks at the Rosie Big Daddy, and the Big Daddy we'll be playing as in BioShock 2. Both figures look really fucking awesome, and even though there aren't any accessories yet, I'm sure the sculptors are going to deliver.
Here is our first glimpse at one of the Splicers that will be included in the line. I have to hand it to NECA, as amazing as the Big Daddies all look, they've really gone out of their way to capture the outright creepiness of the Splicer. This woman in particular has so much wrong with her, from the sagging skin over her knee, to the disfigured face, to the bloated stomach... ugh, she really makes me sick. Which is just what you want from a Splicer figure.
I can't wait to see these figures in person, but the fact that they've been pushed to 2010 along with the game really hurts. On the bright side, the delay will give me plenty of time to get enough money together to buy the whole line. At first I was going to limit myself to just the main Big Daddy, but after laying eyes on these, there's no way I can go without collecting them all. You can check out even more pictures of NECA's SDCC 2009 products over at Figures.com.
