I really enjoy anthology films featuring new stories that take place in my favorite universes, so it should come as no surprise that I'm really looking forward the upcoming Halo: Legends. When this preview footage of one of the seven stories included in the film arrived in my inbox this morning, I couldn't upload it to share with all of you fast enough.

The clip above comes from the short "The Package," wherein Master Chief and a handful of Spartans must infiltrate the heart of a Covenant fleet to obtain some important intelligence. According to Warner Bros., "The episode is a showcase for the Spartans’ impressive fighting capabilities, whether it be hand-to-hand combat, ground assaults, or in zero-G while piloting never-before-seen light attack vehicles." From what I just saw, I'd say that's a pretty fair and accurate description. If the rest of "The Package" is as action-packed as these 44 seconds, I may have already found my favorite part of the direct-to-DVD animated movie.

The good news is those of us looking forward to Halo: Legends have only a little over a month to wait. There's really no bad news, so you're free to go read something else now.
