Heavy Rain Coming February 16?
Gamestop Thinks So. Me? I Hope So.

With 2009 waning down, it's time to start thinking about the games of 2010. I've had a lot of the early releases like Army of Two: The 40th Day, BioShock 2, Splinter Cell: Conviction, and Dante's Inferno on my mind recently, and started wondering when we'd start to see some of the other announced, but as of yet, undated games. Doing a bit of digging on Gamestop's website turned up this nugget. Heavy Rain is currently dated for February 16th, 2010.
Now you can say what you will about Gamestop's proclivity for creating release dates out of thin air in order to earn reserves, but they do get that information from the publishers. While it's not always 100% accurate, a pretty fair amount of the dates on their release calendar do end up being correct. I've been looking forward to Heavy Rain ever since it was unveiled, and if this release date ends up being true, my 2010 just got a whole lot sweeter. I mean, it's not like February has any noteworthy games coming during its short tenure. Dante's Inferno? Garbage. BioShock 2? Trash. Singluarity? Poop. Blur? Crap. Red Steel 2? Worthless. Lost Planet 2? Rubbish.
Real men, like me, will be playing Heavy Rain on their PlayStation 3s. You? You'll likely be playing tiddlywinks with your grandmother. Don't you think it's time to pull up your pants, and be a big boy?

I hope that's sarcasm you've got for the rest of February's games. This looks pretty neat though.
