Heavy Rain is just one of those games where the moment I saw it, I knew that I needed to play it. After hearing and reading about the cool story and the way the game plays, there was just no way I wasn't going to get this game. For those of you who remain undecided on the prospect of owning Heavy Rain, there will be demo made available on February 11th. Of course, this demo has only been confirmed for Europe, but it's not really that difficult to make a UK PSN account, now is it?

There's no word on what portion of the game the demo will feature, but if I were a betting man, I'd wager that you'll be able to play through that very first bit of footage where the reporter breaks into that guys house with all the mannequins. No matter what the demo entails, I would assume all the consequential choices will be there, so each play of the demo has the potential to turn out completely differently. Even just watching someone else control the characters in all those gameplay videos that came out last year, I was completely hooked. I can't place my finger on the exact reason, but something about Heavy Rain just speaks to me, and demands that I play it.

Even though I'm already in for a pound and a penny with this game, I'm looking forward to getting some early hands-on time with this demo. I missed out on getting to see it in action last year, but I'm really psyched for the game's release at the end of next month. I just hope that I have enough time to finish BioShock 2 before Heavy Rain comes out. My only worry is that it won't live up to my own hype.
