It sucks that Heavy Rain's not coming out until some vague date in 2010 because I want it today. You can say whatever you want about it not being a game, or that it's more of an interactive movie than anything else, but I don't care. Heavy Rain is going to be one of the most exciting, immersive, and different experiences I'll ever have... I hope.

The Gamescom trailer reveals a new character who we got a small glimpse of during the E3 game footage bonanza. After watching, it's clear that the man has some issues he needs to work out. Compared to the ambitious reporter and the strung out police officer, this guy's story seems much more interesting and complex. That's not to say I don't think the other characters aren't going to provide some compelling narrative, but this guy seems like his story is going to pull on heart strings, be chock full of conspiracy, and give me the action I crave. Here's hoping this game can deliver on all the hype I'm creating for myself.
