LittleBigPlanet's Online Co-Op Creation Mode Delayed

Will Come as Patch After Game Ships

by 00.19

When we first heard parts of LittleBigPlanet were going to be left out of the retail copy, everyone at Gamervision HQ began hanging their heads in depression. Once we all calmed down, we found that the only part of the game to be left out was the ability to create levels online with friends. The news comes from the LittleBigPlanet forum on the Playstation message boards:

The ability to create with your friends online will come as part of the first major update after the game is released. Offline creating with up to 4 people on one PlayStation 3 however is available right from the get go.

The good news is, you're still able to play online with friends, and you're still able to create levels to play online. I'm honestly not too upset about this. I'll be so busy making levels on my own I don't think I'll have time to worry about teaming up with someone to make a level. That, and the game comes out the same time as Fable 2 and Fallout 3. LittleBigPlanet is still going to be an awesome game (I hope), and even with this news, I'm sure everyone is still looking forward to it as much as I am.

well it's certainly much better than the whole game being delayed. AGAIN. hopefully all the extra work they are putting into things like co-op level building will just make the game worth the wait.

you can still play online with friends which is huge and you still have the 50 level story and now you get more time to learn the tools before you and friends come together on levels.

    Boooooooo!

Oh well. At least we can still do online co-op. That's a good thing! This also gives us more time to unlock more items to use and share later.

I just hope that this isn't an indicator of things to come. I really, really want this game to be amazing.

On-line level creation sounds like more trouble than its worth anyway. As long as I can create and upload on release day, I'm not too upset by this.

Is it a mistake to hold off on getting this (and a ps3 to play it on) until after the dust settles and the holiday deals start?
