Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker Demo Birthed From TGS
New Trailer Also Arises.

So far, Tokyo Game Show has been pretty interesting. We got word on release time tables for the PS3 motion controller, a new version of Resident Evil 5, a solid release date for New Super Mario Bros. Wii, and now a new trailer for Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker has shown its face. Oh yeah, and IGN scored a demo for the upcoming Big Boss-starring game which anyone can download to play.
After watching that trailer, how can you not be excited for this game? Did you notice how they never showed more than one Snake this time around? Or how they allude to the fact that he cut that giant scar on himself in rememberance of the Boss? Some of the story gets a little bit out there, like the bits with the girl having a dream of peace, but it's Kojima, so I tend to let sillier elements like that slide. You really get an idea of just how tortured Snake is in the years after the conclusion of MGS3, and hopefully, we'll get a better look at his descent into madness. Was it just me, or did that oil rig near the end look just like the one you visit in MGS2? Now that I have a better idea about what Peace Walker will be about, I'm really looking forward to how it all fits in with the Metal Gear mythology.
As for the demo, you can find it over IGN, and it really is simple to get onto your PSP. Just follow their directions, and you'll be playing in no time. After I spend a little time with the demo, I'll have some impressions up, so be sure to check back later today to see what Peace Walker is all about.
FYI: The demo is entirely in Japanese, but right here, you can find some help with English instructions.
