Midnight Club: LA DLC Drives Home This March
South Central LA, Eh? Better Roll Up Your Windows.
by 00.19
New content for Midnight Club: Los Angeles seems to be arriving just around the time I was feeling nostalgic for the next-gen racer. I know it may seem hard to imagine feeling nostalgic for a game not quite six months old, but I find I tend to play my games in random fits. Recently I've been craving some street racing, and it looks like Rockstar heard me talking about Midnight Club. Which is curious, since I'm pretty sure I was only thinking that to myself, and that would mean Rockstar has satellites that can read my mind.
Anyway, the content will come in both free and premium styles. The free version will unlock South Central LA, which is going to be roughly 1/3rd the size of the original map. A 33% increase is pretty cool, especially since it's for free. Sadly, if you want the nine new vehicles, or the 100+ new races/missions, it's going to cost you. While $10 (800
) is still a pretty solid price, it sucks that none of the new races are available unless you buy the premium content. I can see having to pay for the cars and a hefty amount of the races, but all of them? I don't know, it seems a little much. Either way, I'll hopefully be checking out at least half of the new content.

some cool looking cars but i don't think i will pick up the paid DLC, i will just get the free for right now.
Not worth the money, IMHO.
The nice thing about DLC for games I don't own is that there is 0 temptaion to spend more money on them.
Now if only I owned less games.
