Even though Motorstorm Pacific Rift hasn't even hit store shelves, there are definite plans for weekly updates for the title. The game's director, Nigel Kershaw, spoke with ComputerandVideogames.com about the company's plans to keep the game fresh.

"Once we're all rested its back to the development bunker to finish off the DLC we have lined up for you guys in the coming months. We've got a pile of stuff waiting in the wings, and, you'll be glad to know, a lot of it is free..."

Kershaw went on to promise there were some big updates planned for the end of the year, citing Christmas in particular as a time when Motorstormers around the world could look forward to beefier content. Even though I'm not the world's biggest Motorstorm supporter (the first game was decent, but not great), any time developers are willing to put in extra effort to keep the game from getting stale, I applaud them. This year in particular is going to be packed with solid racing games, from Midnight Club LA to Need for Speed: Undercover to Baja and Pure, so this DLC could be the edge Motorstorm needs to stand out. Be sure to check back for Gamervision's full review of the game in the coming days.
