New F.E.A.R. 2 DLC Gets Demo'd
People Are Still Playing F.E.A.R. 2?
by 00.19

The eight of you eagerly awaiting the next batch of F.E.A.R. 2 DLC can exhale. Reborn, which follows Replica Soldier Foxtrot 813, will be getting a demo to whet your appetites for the impending September 3 release. I've been gaming for a pretty long time, and for the life of me I can't remember the last time I saw a company put out a demo for downloadable content.
I didn't get a chance to play the game when it first came out, and likely I won't be picking it up in light of the recent DLC announcement, but the fact that there's still enough of an audience out there playing to warrant the new content says volumes about the game. If I wasn't so backed up with more current releases <cough> madden <cough>, there's a chance I might have given this game a look. Not a strong chance, but a chance nonetheless.
There's no indication that you need the original game to try the DLC demo either, so if you were up in the air as to whether or not F.E.A.R. 2 was your kind of game, perhaps this is the time to find out.
You can check out the press release below.

I might grab it. FEAR 2 was fun. But... I hope it isnt expensive. Oh, it's free. Awesome.
Wait, I think only the patch is free. I'm interested in the SP campaign but I don't wanna pay much for it either.

@Shagino: I'm pretty sure the demo is free too.
@Sean: Yeah, but the DLC won't be.
