If there's a gaming convention happening, Kojima Productions having some news can't be far behind. At Gamescom, Konami unveiled the latest trailer for the next game in the Metal Gear Solid series, Peace Walker. I'm going to let you enjoy the nearly nine-minute long short film. We'll talk after the break.

I'm pretty sure that was one of the most awesome presentations I've ever seen. It's not often that you get to see so much of a game so far ahead of the anticipated release date, and I'm amazed at how far along the game is. I'm not going to go too in depth with my analysis here as we're hard at work on a "Frame by Frame" already, but I will talk about how freaking awesome all that footage was. First you get the part where one Snake revives the other. Then you get a look at the way two-player co-op will work when the two Snakes are sneaking around the enemy base. Then there's the box sequence, which is just fantastic. And the part where all four of them take on that tank? Oh yeah, this game is going to bring the pain. It's a good time to be a PSP owner. Now hurry up and finish that game Kojima. I need to play it.

In the meantime, do check out the MGS: Peace Walker game page for the latest screenshots.
