PAIN Adds Online Multiplayer

Yay?

by 00.19

In the same week we learned notorious "funny"-man Andy Dick would be the next downloadable character available for use in the PSN title PAIN, Idol Minds comes right back with a free addition to their popular exclusive: online multiplayer.

In the brief time I spent playing PAIN with my extended family this holiday season (they got a PS3 with the free download code), I had a pretty good time. You wouldn't think it would be so fun to hurt someone, but this game makes it ridiculously fun. Now that there's an online multiplayer component, am I any more likely to buy it for myself? Probably not, but the fact they're at least addressing the fact the game only came with a same system versus is cool.

There's also a new DLC pack, the Smack Pack, with two new modes (Darts and Fortress), which I'm sure will entertain people. These guys have been pretty good at keeping their game fresh with DLC, so I take my hat off in respect, but it's probably still not enough to get me interested. Will I play the game again when I stop over ma famiglia's? Sure, but that's about all the PAIN I need in my life. You can find more details here in the meantime.

I think it's pretty sweet they add online MP, but a lot of the fun of this game lies in sitting there with your friends, drinking some beers, and screaming at the ridiculous shit you pull off.

i could def. see some fun with this in MP. Good to see a developer still supporting their title.
