Game With Fame is presenting Maddenites with an opportunity to play Madden 09 with actor/rapper Chris Bridges, aka Ludacris. While I certainly question the timing of this announcement (is anyone still regularly playing Madden online?), it would certainly be cool to beat a celebrity online. That is, if you have the time. According to the press release, Luda will only be available for gaming next Monday from 3pm to 5pm. Now, I'm certainly no marketing genius, but wouldn't it make a little bit more sense to have this occur a little later at night when the potential fans wouldn't be at work? I guess they're really hoping to catch that "kids skipping school" market all the PR companies are trying to reach. Anyway, I'll still probably try to get in on it under the guise of work. Oh life at a video game website, what would I do without you?

Rapper and actor Ludacris will put on the shoulder pads and play Madden NFL 09 with Xbox LIVE members November 17.

Hip-hop superstar and actor Chris "Ludacris" Bridges has made his mark in many different fields. His most recent musical release, Theater of the Mind, sums up his extensive career. "I call myself the MVP of rap," he says. "When you put everything together in rap, as far as lyrics, visuals, record sales, personality, conceptual songs, I feel like I'm the summation of all. I feel like there's nothing I can't do." He brings that attitude to his acting as well, with appearances on the TV drama Law & Order: SVU, and star roles in two major motion pictures released in 2008, Max Payne, and Rocknrolla.
