Rock Band Whips Out Devo
New wave frontiersman Mark Mothersbaugh was interviewed recently on X-Play about the band Devo's future involvement in Rock Band. Beyond saying three of their songs will be featured, Mothersbaugh speaks about having to re-record "Through Being Cool" with guitars taking over for the synthesizers his band was so known for.
Though there's no guarantee Devo's most famous song, "Whip It," is going to make the cut, you can pretty much assume it will. Despite it not being their best diddy, it is one of the most recognizable songs ever. With the Cars having their self-titled album due to release in the Rock Band store next week, there will be no lack of great 80's music available to drive my neighbors crazy once the Devo tracks come out.
