Sam and Max Season Three Due in 2009
Possibly to More Than Just PC
by 00.19
In an interview with TBBPS, Telltale Games’ Emily Morganti spoke about the future of the popular Sam and Max series. Among other things, she reveals the third season should see the light of day for PCs in early 2009. This news is all fine and good, but what about us lonely 360 owners? We have yet to bask in the warm glow that is a Sam and Max game.
“We’d still like to do it. Our tools currently allow us to develop for PC, Xbox 360, and Wii. So many people had been asking for Sam & Max to come to Wii that it seemed the obvious place to start, but we’re not ruling out other platforms in the future. We’re interested in PlayStation, also… we want our games to be everywhere!”
Oh. Well I guess that clears it up then. Sort of.
Sadly, Morganti also informed TBBPS that Telltale had no plans at this time to continue their Bone videogame series, which only made it two episodes in. That news really stinks as Bone is one of my favorite comics ever made, and the games were a really faithful adaptation. Still, it would be pretty awesome to see Sam and Max on Xbox Live Arcade, since not having a PC has kept me from playing the newer series.
Be sure to stay tuned to Gamervision.com as we’ll be getting in touch with Telltale on the future of the Sam and Max franchise.
