Scribblenauts 2 and Earthworm Jim Remake on the Way

Nintendo Power Reveals All Next Month.

by 00.19

According to GoNintendo, the next issue of Nintendo Power will not only have the latest details on this fall's Scribblenauts 2, the sequel to the flawed but fun word/puzzle DS game, but the magazine also has news of a DSiWare remake of the 16-bit cult classic Earthworm Jim. I don't know about you, but this news pretty much just made my Sunday.

There are few details at the moment, but there were a few important tidbits GoNintendo was able to discern about Scribblenauts 2. The game will have more than 10,000 new words and 120 more levels, as well boasting some much needed improved controls. In addition, adjectives will reportedly play a bigger part, the level editor will have more options. Scribblenauts hardly needed more words to recognize, but the fact that 10,000 more are being added is awesome. I can only imagine the crazy combinations you'll be able to pull off in order to get your hands on those precious little stars.

As of now there are actually no details on Earthworm Jim other than the fact that it exists, but honestly, it's just a remake, so how different could it possibly be? I'd say I'm disappointed that the game's not getting a full-on remake for all systems, but at this point, I'll take anything I can get when it comes to more Earthworm Jim. I guess we'll just have to wait until the magazine actually ships, or perhaps this week's GDC, to find out more.
