Sony's Motion Controller Gets A Name?
The "Arc" > The "Wand."
by 00.19

You can chalk this one up as a rumor for now, but according to VG247, Sony's upcoming motion controller will be dubbed the "Arc." I've actually got no problem with that name because it's not only infinitely better than "Wand," "Stick with Ball," and "Wii-mote," but the more you say it, the cooler it sounds. Plus, now I don't have to keep referring to it as "Sony's as yet unamed motion controller."
Regardless of what you think of the name, this is good news. The fact that Sony may have put a name on the controller means that they're probably close to releasing it. Up until now, I figured that the March 2010 release window was a pipe dream, and that I'd have to wait another six months to get the most out of Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition on the PS3. Even though this name is anything but confirmed at this point, that March release now seems completely attainable. Hell, if the only thing that was holding them up was the name, this controller might be out sooner than we think. Of course, this generation, Sony hasn't been able to anything completely right, so I wouldn't be surprised if the "Arc," or whatever they end up calling it, doesn't actually come out until this fall.

Yeah... not that excited for this, whatever they end up naming it.
As a horrifying jewish ghost monster, I applaud their choice.
Can't wait. I might be the only person who's equally excited about this and Natal.
