Summer of Arcade Titles Dated
Plan Your Virtual Wallet Spending Accordingly.

The Summer of Arcade is one of the most enjoyable things about Xbox Live, and this year's entrants might be among the best to date. Perhaps I'm a bit biased since I love the Tomb Raider franchise, can't wait for the day Limbo arrives on the Marketplace, and think that Castlevania is just the bee's knees. Unfortunately for me, Limbo comes out the day I leave for San Diego Comic Con, meaning I've now got to give up the rights to the review, which I fought Coop to the death for. That guy you've been seeing on the website posting articles and starring in videos is actually a clone. We've got a warehouse full of them. Everyone just loves killing Coop, so we've got to have a contingency plan.
Anywho, Microsoft's also running a deal for the Summer of Arcade titles where if you buy three, you get 400
back, and if you buy all five, you get 1200
back. That's a pretty sweet incentive, especially considering I was probably going to buy at least three of the titles anyway. You're all probably wondering why I haven't gotten to the actual dates yet, so here they are.
- Limbo - July 21
- Hydro Thunder Hurricane - July 28
- Castlevania: Harmony of Despair - August 4
- Monday Night Combat - August 11
- Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light - August 18
In all the excitement, don't forget that Blacklight: Tango Down and Secret of Monkey Island 2 come out this week, and Death Spank arrives next week. Those are three more solid titles that would bolster anyone's online gaming library. Well, I hope anyway. Guess we won't find out until we play them, will we?
