In space, no one can hear you scream. Except for your neighbors when you get spooked by a necromorph that just jumped into your elevator, and wants to eat your insides. Dead Space, and the upcoming sequel Dead Space 2, provide a brilliant mix of suspense and horror in a science fiction landscape. The video game was clearly influenced by an eclectic combination of movies that pushed the envelope psychologically, scientifically, and thematically. Tonight, in celebration of the sequel's impending release, we're counting down our own version of the top twenty-five films that clearly had a part in the creation of EA's survival-horror blockbuster. It all culminates in a live simulcast of the number one movie, which we hope to enjoy right along side you.
