Update: Braid, Castle Crashers Pricing
Microsoft to Coop: DENIED!
by 00.19
Many of you may have read a column posted earlier about the rumored pricing of several new XBox Live Arcade games, Castle Crashers (1800 MSP) and Braid (1200 MSP). Our intrepid cub reporter, Coop, brought the news to the Gamervision masses, and before long had many of us in the office drinking the overpriced Kool-Aid. I personally cried foul on Microsoft for pricing these games (well Castle Crashers anyway) too high. As it turns out, it was all for naught. Shacknews heard the truth from Microsoft themselves after the original rumor broke. According to the big green machine, the actual pricing of the games wouldn't be revealed until the Monday prior to their release (Aug. 4 for Braid, Aug. 25 for Castle Crashers).
While I'm sure the final pricing won't be too different, maybe, just maybe, both these games will be available for less. Not that I want to seem like a penny-pinching old man, but I always like paying less for things. Call me crazy. Sadly, Canadians will still have to pay an exorbitant amount more than just about everyone else, due to the MS Point-to-Hockey Puck ratio. Sorry guys. At least you up north are safer from zombie attacks, so you've got that going for you.

So, wait, the update is Microsoft saying "We're not saying yes...but we're not saying no..." ?
I'll do it. Castle Crashers looks THAT cool.
Annoyingly priced titles from the arcade.
