What Are You Playing This Week?

It's not often these days that a week arises where I have no new review obligations, but this week that's the case. Having just finished Onechanbara and Tenchu on the Wii, I figured it's high time I get back into playing some good games. I've been slowly making my way through the copy of Dead Space I borrowed from our own version of the Overseer, Sean, and I have to say I'm impressed. The game offers quite a haunting experience, and even though there's quite a bit of combat, it's still very much a survival horror game. I like the game so much, that I can't wait to add the recently announced Isaac Clark figure from NECA to my desk at work.
If you've seen me on your PlayStation friends list, you've no doubt noticed I've gotten back into Hot Shots Golf: Out of Bounds once again. I always forget just how much fun that game is. Now that I've gotten that Dinosaur Park course, I'm obsessed with mastering it. I've also decided that I've been too lax in my efforts to complete all the time trials in Mirror's Edge. Trying to beat the clock while playing through the main game is fun enough, but until I get at least one star on each of the races, I won't be satisfied with myself. Undoubtedly, someone in the office will be getting Street Fighter 4, but the money in my piggy bank is being saved for MLB 09: The Show and Resident Evil 5, so the office is probably the only place I'll be playing the Capcom fighter.

Funny you should mention that. In my spare time this week I will be playing some Left 4 Dead (YAY!), some NHL 09, a hair of Burnout Paradise, and an oldie [but a goody] Parasite Eve.
Hopefully I'll be able to do, at least, half of what I've listed. There's a lot more work than I expected this semester and time has to be managed a little more.

With Left 4 Dead only $24.99, I couldn't resist. So plenty of that. Hopefully the new Fire Emblem for the DS too, if I can find it.

Enjoying some F.E.A.R. 2 and finishing a ton of reviews. House of the Dead: Overkill, Big Bang Mini, Prinny, Deadly Creatures, and GTA: L&D to name a few.

I'm playing "getting over being sick and catching up on all the work I didn't do while I had the flu". Incidentally, that includes reviewing several games, including the AR Tonelico 2.

NHL 09 (cannot get enough)
and thats really about it
