DARK HORSE COMICS

Buffy the Vampire Slayer #22

All of a sudden, vampires are the new “It” thing, and slayers are so not cool. But before too much is made of the events of MTV’s vampire reality show, we catch up to Satsu to see just how she’s handling herself as team leader in Japan. Series writer Steven DeKnight dusts off his Buffy typewriter for this $2.99 issue where we find out just a bit more about the villainous Twilight.

DC COMICS

Secret Six #6

I don’t want to spoil anything, so all I’m going to say is those last few panels last issue certainly caught me by surprise. I’m liking where all of this is going, and honestly can’t wait for this conclusion to the opening arc. Gail Simone and Nicola Scott really deliver every month, and you’d be a fool to miss out on another $2.99 issue of this book.

MARVEL COMICS

Agents of Atlas #1

YES! Jimmy Woo and the gang are back, and you had better believe that you’re not missing out on this issue. If you didn’t take my advice on grabbing the trade collection of the original mini, don’t fret, because I’m sure this first issue will welcome all comers. Yes, it’s $3.99, but Carlo Pagulayan’s on art, and well… the Agents of Atlas are awesome. Seriously, don’t miss it.

Immortal Iron Fist #22

Duane takes Danny to the Eigth Capital City of Heaven. Yeah, it’s like that. $2.99.

Invincible Iron Man #10

Yikes, lookit that cover. Looks like some interesting times are headed Tony’s way. Or not. And is it wrong that I totally love Maria Hill now? Okay, just making sure. Matt Fraction and Salvador Larroca totally derserve your $2.99.

That’s all for this week. If you’re going to New York Comic Con, hopefully we’ll see you there. You can catch me, Sarah, and our Gamervision cohort Coop, on the floor or at panels all weekend. If not, stay tuned for as much up to the minute coverage as we can bring you.

See you next time.
