You People Don't Seem To Get Swap-n-Sell

100 dollars for a PS2...really?

by cancerdancer

Going through the lists and lists of things for sale here on gamervision makes me want to punch people in the fucking face. I sell all my games through half.com and that system usually lends to buying games at a price lower than your local game store. Looking at the prices here, it makes me realize someone didn't take an economics class.

  • 58 dollars for Crackdown 2? Suck a fat one.
  • 300 dollars for a slim 360? Why even try? I'm going to go buy that in a store, not risk some dude I don't know from the interwebs butt slamming me and never hearing from him again.
  • LEAUGE OF FUCKING LEGENDS....A FREE DOWNLOADABLE GAME...ON SALE FOR 10 DOLLARS.
  • 0 Day Attack on Earth, which is a Xbox Arcade game. How the hell does that even work?
  • Bayonetta: 30 dollars. I bought this game for 10 dollars.
  • Any PS2 game that isn't rare being more than 10 bucks...lick my taint.
  • Twilight Princess for the Wii can be had for 20 something bucks. Gamervision Swap-n-Sell? 48 dollars. What a steal.

I could go on, but people, please get your shit together and realize you will never sell shit if you just make it 2 dollars cheaper than sold in stores OR EVEN WORSE, THE EXACT SAME PRICE.

    Have to agree with cancerdancer...
People have to get some of their prices more in line!
I have bought a few games on the GV S&S, that were a good deal and I got everything I paid for...
More importantly, I do like the feeling of community on the site and there don't seem to be any scammers around, like on F&%#ing craigslist!

People, think about what you would be willing to pay for the game you want to sell!

    disagree with you both...
the whole point of an open sell site is to let people put up whatever they want, how they want and for whatever price they want...
I have seen allot of prices change for items and allot of stuff gets re-listed by people at a lower price when it does not sell... and I like the fact that there is a retail alternative offered on almost everything.

Let people do what they want.

The whole point is that people can place their own value on things. Does it seem too pricey for you? Don't buy it. No one is forcing you to.

You know what I am forced to do? Wade through piles of overpriced games and various other products like BMW's and football jerseys.

    Oh great half.com!
Where 90% of the stuff advertised is "no longer available" just another ebay.com bullshit site that tracks every move you make......!

If you have any ideas for improvement, please share. We're still in very active development, so it would be great to hear your feedback.

@nhance I don't know whats being implemented already, but some ideas come to mind. Expiring listings would clear up any backlog, and having something that shows what this product sold for last on the site would help people with pricing a lot. Or even pulling from other websites so sellers can gauge how competitive they want to be.

Showing or even suggesting prices based upon going rates, past sells, and even how much it seems to go for on average would be, in my opinion, a great idea.

The integration of being able to contact other users to ask them personally if they want to trade or sale is a pretty good feature... but it would be neat if there was some sort of built in forum like place where people could discuss what they are looking for, concerns, issues, and the like.

I CAN YELL AT THINGS TO.

    Ps......watch my youtube videos.

Also, anyone want to buy Dead Space 2 for 59.99? Will negotiate to 59.98!

I have learned from many experiences that yelling at people doesn't work.

    Call of Duty example

Me-"Hey INSERT RANDOM RACIAL SLUR who is not playing the INSERT RANDOM SWEAR WORD objective. Why don't you capture the flag and stop being such a INSERT RANDOM RACIAL SLUR?"

Random INSERT RANDOM RACIAL SLUR-"I will kick your INSERT OBVIOUS CURSE WORD in real life"

    Me-"Mic Static"
