Not so easy to cheat in NHL 09 anymore
I noticed a change in interference calls after the last update.
In the beginning you could bump players from behind to cause an offsides call or flat out kill a guy after the puck was passed, even if it wasn't the guy getting the puck. After the most recent patch it seems this was changed. Sucks because my hit stats aren't as good. You can still hit in front of the net to battle for position though. I feel this has made the game better. I found myself creating plays and playing better defense instead of just hitting everyone.
Have there been any other changes to the game that I haven't seen?
I love this game and my friends don't play it anymore. If you asked me if I had to choose this game or my friends; It was nice knowing you fellas!

they made changes in the last patch to prevent a lot of the cheap goals, made the goalies a bit better and started cracking down on penalties by calling late hits, interference, etc.
i noticed that to. i am happy they made the game a little more challenging.
First of all dude, I play this game all the time. Send a guy an invite sometime!
Secondly, I too noticed the patch. Along with the interference rule change, I find it harder to score goals from the point than it used to be. Again, I like the added realism, but it does kind of suck that the rules changed in the middle of a season. I'd kind of gotten used to a particular style of play, and now it's gone.
