So Thursday's Update (06/05/08) didn't arrive till about 3am (PST) the next day... and besides the Battlefield: Bad Company demo, the big new feature of the day was the introduction of Qore.

They had a little teaser video on the Sony Playstation Blog, introducing the new host of Qore... Veronica Belmont (insert Rev3 woot here), and included a very brief summary on what it includes.

Of course everyone's radar spiked when the topic of cost was brought up. It's basically 3 bucks per episode or if you are "HardQore" you can purchase an annual 13 episode subscription for about 25 bucks. The annual subscription also comes with a free copy of David Jaffe's "Calling all Cars". (Word of caution: I don't know what happens if you already own it. I doubt it's like Steam and will let you "gift" it or something.) Also, those who purchase the 1st episode (either solo or through annual sub.) will get access to the Socom Beta.

Overall, the promise of "exclusive content and demos" just didn't justify the price. The concept of exclusivity in times like these doesn't really give it all that much to stand on... you know if anything worth knowing is released via Qore that an excerpt will soon be posted on Kotaku or some other gaming-related site.

I think I'll just enjoy the free God of War 2 track they are giving out in this weeks update. Hell, there's even a level for GH3 as well!
