“New” Smash Brothers Level Announced

I spent most of my time playing the Gamecube with Super Smash Brothers Melee. If I wasn’t too busy in five stock matches on an itemless Final Destination, odds are I was bashing my way around the Zelda Temple level. Needless to say, I was excited when I saw the temple would be back again for Super Smash Brothers Brawl.
“This is the Temple stage from the last installment, Super Smash Bros. Melee. I think that based on my updates so far, you probably understand that we’ve created plenty of stages. But we wanted to do more, so we’ve brought back a number of stages that appeared in the last game. We’ve tried to create an exact replica, but there may be a few areas that differ from the last game. I hope you understand. In general, the Melee stages have the same background music as in the last game, but we’ve also prepared some tracks like this.”

The Zelda Temple was fantastic. Its huge size lead to long standoffs and the highest damage battles I had in the game. There was also the all out scuffle that would occour whenever a Pokéball would drop. Now with the addition of Smash Balls and Assist Trophies there will be even more excuses to put your battle aside and race an enemy across the map to grab an item.

Though being admittedly tight lipped about it, they did mention some changes to the map. My guess is making some of the platforms destructible to spice up a classic level.

Seeing as how great the rest of the game looks so far I think they will probably spruce this stage up a bit too.
