Agetec's LOL Online Only
Seems Kind Of Fitting, Really
by Coop
“We love LOL, and think it’s a completely unique game, however we think it’ll be tough to sell into the retailers. So we decided to release it exclusively online. Hopefully it catches some attention like Electroplankton did.” said Hiro Fukuoka, producer at Agetec. “LOL will be available through Agetec.com on the day of its release, and we’re currently looking for an online retailer to do exclusive pre-orders with.”
I have been interested in this game since its announcement, and anxiously await its release, but I am not sure why. The game is priced at $19.99 and will feature four-player single-cart play, so for the money it is definitely worth the purchase to make long car or plane rides seem that much shorter. For more information on the title and an explanation of exactly what LOL is, click here and go to the official website.
Basically it "plays" like the board game Apples to Apples, where players are given topics and need to come up with responses. Players chat and can vote on the funniest answer, and complete different challenges of that ilk. No, there isn't a better way to explain it; you are just going to need to figure it out yourself. Below are some images and I highly suggest you go to the website if you are at all interested, they do a much better job of explaining their nongame then I do. Expect to see this game on store shel--erm, internet shelves on May 30th.
