MMORPG fans likely already know that Aion, NCSoft's wing-filled RPG, launched in North America today. It's been called a WoW-killer by many, but that term is thrown around so much these days that it's hard to ever believe it. That said, it's hard a huge start, with servers nearly dying under the stress of 400k gamers rushing in, all at once.

To celebrate the launch, they've released the "Launch Trailer," which has much more gameplay footage in it than nearly any other "Launch Trailer" I've ever seen. Sure, there's a fair share of "why aren't the graphics this good?" footage in-between, but it's a good hype-builder overall, and should get a few more people excited to sprout wings. I'll be diving in at some point this week, so post your information here and we can see if we can't get some Gamervision groups going in the near future. Well, if the queues are manageable by the time my installation finishes.
