Aliens vs Predator Hunter Edition Priced
Big Bucks for Face Hugging
by Coop

As you might recall, we here at Gamervision have a bit of a thing for "Collector Edition" versions of games. Sure, it's usually a huge waste of money, but it can also be really, really cool. Gears of War 2 came with a life-size lancer, Bayonetta (in Australia) came with replicas of her Scarborough Fair pistol, and now, the Aliens vs Predator Hunter Edition is to ship with a replica, articulated facehugger. That's right, an alien facehugger. We knew that, though. That bit of fun was revealed a few months ago. What we didn't know was an actual price, which is sort of important. Turns out, it's right in line with recent "omg here's a bunch of stuff" editions that have shipped, placing the package at a cool $100. If you're upset about that, then I suggest you remember that we're talking about a freaking facehugger.
Well, maybe. On the one hand, it might be as cool as the BioShock special edition Big Daddy. That was well worth the money, especially considering how heavy and awesome it was. On the other, it might end up being as disappointing as the batarang that shipped with the $100 Arkham Asylum special edition. In pictures, the batarang looked cool. In reality, it was cheap plastic, and stuck to a base. In other words, not, in any way, worth the money. Will this be better? We hope so, and you can find out here as soon as it's released.

i thought this was only for the PC version. may have to rethink whether or not i buy this now.
A Predator mask would be better. I don't know if I'm willing to spend $100 on this yet. Now a life size replica of the predator mask on the other hand, I would buy in a heart beat. Hell, I'd buy multiples.
