Alpha Protocol Delayed Until June?
RPG Espionage in the Summer
by Coop

A few weeks back, internal documents at SEGA leaked, spilling details on a few internal projects and possible game releases. One game included was Alpha Protocol, and product evaluator Michael Foster was none too happy about the game's current situation. In the document, which still could be faked (though it's looking more and more like it isn't), he said "AP felt barely RPG. Initial level too challenging for players. Mass Effect felt more RPG." Harsh words. Now, if online retailers are to be believed, the already heavily-delayed title might be pushed back even further.
Gamestop has already moved the title to a June 1st release date. Amazon.ca is even less optimistic, pushing it until the end of that month. Other online retailers, such as Gamefly and Best Buy are sticking to the October release date, refusing to go with the herd and admit that there's a good chance Alpha Protocol is being delayed. We've seen the game a few times now, and each time we're amazed by some aspects, and baffled at others. It looks great, don't get me wrong, but it just seems like there's room to clean it up and create something truely fantastic. Plus, its not like we won't be busy enough already this year.
We've contacted Obsidian for confirmation of this news, and will report back when we hear something.

@HeyKid Unfortunately, that interview was conducted on opposite day. Or was it bad-information day? No no, if memory serves me it was lie-directly-to-my-face day.
