Arkham Asylum 3D Coming Stateside After All?
Looks Like it Might Be
by Coop

Last week, it was announced that there was going to be a Batman: Arkham Asylum Game of the Year Edition, complete with TriOviz 3D glasses. Sadly, it was soon confirmed that it was it was bound for Asia, Europe, and Australia, leaving those in the US down and out. Case closed, right?
Wrong. Gamestop has recently added a US edition to their computers with a ship date of 5/11, meaning that there's still a lingering chance that we'll all be able to buy this and not have a television to use it with. Hooray! Gamestop is usually good with this sort of thing, so it's worth paying attention to.
Gamestop lists several new features, including four additional Challenge Maps, "offering new combat and Invisible Predator™ scenarios set in different locations, including: Scarecrow Nightmare Challenge Map Crime Alley Challenge Map Totally Insane Challenge Map Nocturnal Hunter Challenge Map." It also includes the Trioviz™ 3D glasses, with 2 pairs of 3D glasses included in the box. We've contacted WB for an official statement, and will be sure to update their "no comment" as soon as we get it. Aaaaany minute now.

if a lingering hope is the only hope i have, then i'll take it.
This would be great news. I really want to re-play this game in 3D before the sequel arrives.
Yeah, I really should own this already and I was holding out for GOTY.
Pretty sure the TriOviz 3D glasses take advantage of the PAL color format. If they are bringing a 3D version to US, then the only thing I can think is with Red/Blue glasses. This should really be doable with a Title Update.
There aren't any new maps either. They are just the DLC maps that are available now ,still no Prey in the Darkness for USA, although I was able to get them... :)
The only thing of note is that this will include Crime Alley (from Limited Edition) and Dem Bones (Gamestop preorder bonus). Batman really needs some actual DLC.
