Assassin's Creed II: Discovery Announced for the Nintendo DS
DSi Features, Too, If You're Into That
by Coop

Just as was the case with Assassin's Creed: Altair's Chronicles, Ubisoft refused to comment on Assassin's Creed II for the Nintendo DS, even after Gamestop listed it in their computers. Now, finally, they're fessing up to the project's existence, as if it was in doubt. Assassin's Creed II: Discovery will be an all new adventure for the Nintendo DS, following Ezio as he travels to Spain. His reason? To rescue other assassins, who apparently are being hunted down by the Templar.
Now here's where it gets weird. In the press release below, Ubisoft talks about the DSi feature, which will be to take pictures with the camera and use them to make wanted posters. This... sounds familiar. In fact, it sounds very familiar, as if Ubisoft had announced it at a recent Apple press event. That's because it is, and it looks like the DS and DSi version will be the same as Assassin's Creed II: Discovery on the iPhone. This is a trend that might end up being really good, or really bad, depending on which version ends up being the port.
It's due out on November 17th, right in line with the rest of the versions of Assassin's Creed II. We'll have more information soon.
