Azeroth Sees Zombie Outbreak
The Secret Word is "Zombie"
by Coop

Word on the street is that World of Warcraft players are being turned into drooling, horrible creatures. Not only that, but their characters are facing a similar fate.
Wokka wokka!
In anticipation for the upcoming Wrath of the Lich King expansion, a new "world event" is causing World of Warcraft characters to catch a disease, turning them into undead monsters. They then become carriers, and further spread the blight across all of Azeroth. They retain their normal character abilities, but are given new ones as well, on top of the added bonus of eating brains. No matter how annoying to WoW players this might be, it’s far too cool to ignore.
I've always loved the concept of viral outbreaks in MMORPGs and sandbox games. Hell, I love viral achievements over Xbox Live. The idea of creating an intentional virtual plague is awesome, and when it turns WoW characters into zombies? Even better. No word yet on what happens to Undead characters when they catch this disease. My guess? They turn into Gnomes.
It’s also being reported that the LCPD is being sent to quarantine the remaining zombies. In the Crossroads.
I’m out of jokes.

Sever wide character deletions. The undead can never go back and never go on...
coop, i LOVED what you did with the preview avatars!
Undead folks (like myself) also turn into zombies. It's hilarious. You can basically make it impossible for lowbies to get anything done in their starting areas. And raids on capital cities are fun too.
