BioShock 2 Changes its Name
Drops the Sea of Dreams
by Coop
The Game Informer preview of BioShock 2: Sea of Dreams was shockingly short on Russians, dogs, and co-op. It also lacked any "Sea of Dreams." In fact, the alternate title wasn't mentioned at all, and it was as if the publisher decided to drop it entirely.
They had, but they didn't tell anyone. I suppose it was some kind of secret... shhhhh.
“You won’t be seeing ‘Sea of Dreams’ moving forward, just ‘BioShock 2.’” 2K Games told Primotech.
So...there you have it. BioShock 2 has shortened its name by getting rid of Sea of Dreams. Simple enough, but why? It seems like a good enough name, although admittedly un-BioShock. I mean, maybe it would make sense for an Ecco the Dolphin or Endless Ocean sequel, but not BioShock.
The real question is... why was it added in the first place? I'm sure more will come up in the future, and if not, we'll be sure to drill 2K Games about the change the next time we see them. In the mean time, take out that liquid paper and correct those documents!

Honestly, "Sea of Dreams" always reminded me of that horrible Billy Joel song.... "In the middle of the night! I go walking in my sleep!"
