I remember a few months ago this game came out for the Xbox 360 and PC that caught my eye. I can’t really remember it too well, but let me see if I can try to remind myself... Looking through the haze of Mass Effect, Assassins Creed, and Call of Duty 4 I seem to remember it taking place in an underwater city of sorts, with zombies…no – no! Mutants! Wait, it is all coming back to me! The Adam! Big Daddies! BIOSHOCK!

Time may have passed, but BioShock is always whispering in our ears, reminding us that it was GOTY before the big games even showed their heads. Early on the developers said downloadable content would be coming but in the holiday rush it was easy to forget the promise. On the Cult of Rapture website this update popped up:

“Many of you have been asking me about the status of the BioShock PC Patch and Xbox 360 Title Update, and I have some good news for you.

Both the BioShock PC Patch and the 360 Title Update will be available next week. In addition to these fixes, we will be releasing downloadable content free on both Xbox Live and for the PC, with the DLC bundled into the PC Patch. A full list of bug fixes and everything included in the DLC will be put up on the Cult of Rapture when the downloads become available.”

If this will be the same DLC rumored back at release (additional abilities and powers) or even extra levels. There is really a huge amount of DLC that could make this game a shoe in for GOTY – lets see it happen. I wouldn’t be too upset if the game was updated to allow players to use the Big Daddy drill we all wanted to use. Not too upset at all.
