"It is an unannounced Next-Gen MMO, and that doesn't mean an expansion for World of Warcraft either," stated a Blizzard forum administrator in response to job listings for a “Next-Gen MMO.” This follows rumors of the Activision merger bringing new games to consoles, which follows rumors of a Starcraft MMO, which follows rumors of a Diablo MMO.
Everywhere Blizzard goes (or Blizzardvision, Actiblizzard, whatever) rumors and speculation follow. Each move is critiqued and analyzed in hopes of finding a morsel of information on Stacraft Universe or Diablmmo. No amount of searching does anything but, in turn, fuel those same damn rumors.
But why do people want these so badly? I know some people who would never, ever play World of Warcraft but would push sick children into the street to get their hands on a Starcraft MMO. This logic escapes me, because Blizzard isn’t known for innovation these days. If they ever do actually get around to making a “new” MMO it will resemble WoW more then any IP it is based off of. The same goes for one of my favorite games of all time, Diablo II. If Blizzard brings an MMO Diablo it will just be WoW in Hell – and to think that is already what I think it is.

i hope it's not a starcraft mmo.. with the whole warhammer 40k mmo that's already been announced. it would be embarrassing if blizzards franchise looked a little TOO much like warhammer 40k's... oh wait, it already does.
world of starcraft would be amazing get off it. i'd be a ghost and drive around in my siege tank launching nukes on zerg villages. c'mon now people get with it.
