Borderlands PC Version Delayed One Week

October 20th Now Cleaner

by Coop

Borderlands is shaping up to be one of the coolest looking games of the year. At PAX, the game received nearly universally positive reviews, with many saying it was the best thing at the show. With its release rapidly approaching, everyone is gearing up for the October 20th launch date, ready to experience the awesomeness that is Borderlands.

Well, except PC owners. They need to wait.

Charlie Sinhaseni, Senior PR Manager at 2K Games, said to IGN, "We're optimizing the PC version which takes a few days longer than expected. Borderlands for PC will ship on October 26th. I'm not sure what kind of optimization can be done in six days, but at least it isn't following all of the other delays this year and fallen to 2010. Even so, this delay is strange to me, since it has always seemed like Borderlands was made for PCs. Odds are it's some sort of last-minute bug or shipping issue, and the game will be perfectly fine when it hits store shelves. Hopefully.
