Borderlands Sells Well, Shortages Confirmed
You Messed With the Wrong Dog!

Gearbox’s FPS/RPG hybrid Borderlands may have been released yesterday, but many people might not know it. Apparently, upon landing on the shelf, the game was briskly whisked away by eager consumers. In fact, it is selling so well, that some were saying that it was selling out all over the country. On the West Coast (screw the Dodgers), many complained about finding copies for the PS3, and on the East Coast (#WFC), the 360 version is hard to come by. The PC version doesn’t release until next week, but I have no doubt Steam will be able to keep the game in stock, regardless of demand.
Today, 2K VP of marketing Steve Gibson has confirmed this news with several sources, and promises that resupplies are on the way, and should be arriving in store shelves as early as Friday. This must make several people at 2K fairly happy after speculation by Michael Pachter (gaming's Kreskin) commented that the publisher had "sent the game to die." Apparently by "die" he meant sell really well, and by "sent" he meant "DURRR! I'M MICHAEL PACHTER AND I'M AN IDIOT DURR!!!!!".
We’ll keep you posted, and be sure to check back soon for out review of the game.

That's one of the best Pachter impressions I've ever seen.
Love the Pachter impression, I've also thought the same thing about the dude. "HEY GUYZ! I'M A ANALYST! THAT MEANS I MAKE RANDOM GUESSES ABOUT NONSENSE AND HOPE SOMETHING STICKS!"
The game is selling well here because it's 40$ CDN instead of 70$ CDN at Walmart, Futureshop and Walmart ;)
