Buffy MMO Detailed, Confusing, Nonexistent
Multiverse, the supposed developer of the supposed Firefly MMO, has let out some details on their supposed Buffy the Vampire Slayer MMORPG, which will likely never come out. Apparently, now bear with me, it will initially launch as a 2d game, giving players a chance to experience the world before a full, 3d version is launched. If this nonsense makes any sense to you then I’d love to hear an explanation, because concurrently developing two different MMOs with its intention to give players a feel for a world that has had seven television seasons (and a comic) documenting it seems a little counterproductive. In other words, I think it’s safe to say that the Buffyverse is fairly well documented. They also confirmed that the Firefly MMO has been put on hold, further confirming our suspicions that Multiverse is completely incapable of actually finishing a product.
It might sound like I’m being hard on them, but come on, this isn’t actually going to happen, and if it does it’s going to suck. Prove me wrong, Multiverse, please, prove me wrong.

Has anyone checked these Multiverse guys out? They pretty much bill themselves as the cheap-games-quick developers.
Doesn't sound too promising, especially with previous titles such as "Islands Of War". "Lunar Quest" and "HR Orientation Application".

Much rather prefer a Firefly MMO than Buffy. It (a)makes more sense and (b)makes more sense.

@ matthew.. but the 3D game was released like 4 or 5 years after the 2D version and you were right the 3D was crap.. I wonder how long they are thinking between 2D and 3D..

this makes a LOT of sense, let me tell you. I would rather see a Firefly MMO but i doubt either of these get a release. Soon we will hear the Buffy MMO has been put on hold so they can work on the FRIENDS MMO.

UO was a 2D game that later turned into a "3D" game if you wanted, even though the 3D graphics where thrown together and were awful.
