Burnout Cagney Patch Dated
More Racing Fun this July
by Coop
I've made no efforts to hide my love for Burnout: Paradise. I haven't touched the game in months, but that doesn't mean I don't love the only racer of recent to really rev my engines, I just kind of did everything there is to do in it. Criterion feels my pain, and is prepared to bring semi-monthly updates to expand the experience. Next month is going to bring the first new content, entitled Cagney, which will have the following features:
- 3 New Freeburn Game Modes: Road Rage, Stunt Run and Marked Man
- 70 New Freeburn Challenges: Including multi-part challenges and Leaderboards
- Two new vehicles - a Hunter Olympus and a secret Criterion Car
- Four new liveries - Rossolini Tempesta Dream, the Oval Steel Racer and Inferno
- Hippie Van and a secret Criterion livery
- Ranked Rafce [sic] Changes
- Custom Soundtrack support for PS3
The update hits on the 9th of July, so you should be good and fat from the 4th for some high-speed driving fun. Is this enough to justify putting the game back in, or will it take the next update, which will bring motorcycles and night driving, to bring you back to Paradise City?
