C&C3 Takes Viral Shots at Startrek, Craft, Wars
And I Laugh, Since They Use Silly Actors

In what appears to be a trend with Electronic Arts, a series of videos has been released taking shots at other video games. In video responses to some highly viewed Youtube videos, actors such as J.K. Simmons and Jonathan Pryce are trying to rally some viral marketing away from StarCraft 2, Star Trek, and The Force Unleashed, and towards the upcoming Command and Conquer: Red Alert 3. Just like with the Battlefield Bad Company videos that EA threw against Gears and Metal Gear Solid, I quite enjoy these shorts and don't get upset when someone tries a little parody. It brings the world of Red Alert 3 to life, and even more considering it has actors who in no right should be plugging video games. If anything, it reminds me of how awesome the game's story will be.

So, what do you think? Sure, it's throwing around money that could be spent on building a bigger game. Sure it's stupid, and shows nothing about Red Alert 3 other than some of the people from the cut scenes. Sure, that chick is hot, and that's why I posted that video twice. But I can't help but shake the feeling that if this videos prove successful and make EA money, we might see Daniel Day-Lewis playing a character in a video game, and that's something I can get behind.
