Castle Crashers Officially 1200 Points
Summer of Arcadegate Comes to a Close
by Coop

Behemoth, developer of Alien Hominid, has confirmed that their upcoming XBLA title Castle Crashers will cost 1200 MS Points when it is released in two weeks. This is good news to anyone who was annoyed at the originally rumored pricing of 1800MS points, but shouldn't make any allies with people still sitting at the ending of the Braid demo with their arms crossed. Developer Dan Paladin posted the following on their official website:
Hello everyone on the internet!
The price for Castle Crashers will be 1,200 Microsoft points. This month’s only online multiplayer XLA game launches on Wednesday, August 27th, 2008, so get ready to grab some friends and prepare to smash stuff!
There you have it, folks, time to drop the pitchforks and torches. I’d say that the Internet’s uproar about Braid’s higher-than-normal cost is what stopped Castle Crashers from being another 600MS Points, but Braid sold gangbusters despite the high cost. Maybe Microsoft doesn’t feel like making any more enemies in this, the Summer of Arcade, and feels that the extra few Microsoft Points isn’t really worth the uproar. The game is out on August 27th, so get your weapons ready and find some friends to play with, because there are castles that needs crashing.

Puxel, Steak and I need a fourth. Who's in?
OMG YES BRB GS
I call blue.
I've already called orange.
Shotgun green.
There we go. Party closed. Steak's red, I guess! If he really wants orange I guess I can trade. Red's my second choice.
IN! IN! I want in!
Coop can be my stand-in for the next few weeks. But when I'm ready, you're out buddy.
It seems that you can't actually share the same knight. Hmm, I seem to recall this. Oh well, Red is also awesome.
I don't even know how much 1,200 mspoints is. What is that like 300 dollars? Yeah that seems a bit steep, but probably worth it....if I had three friends that is....
