Just over a month after launch, Cryptic's MMORPG, Champions Online, has experienced a $10 price cut. The entry fee to Millennium City is now $39.99 on any of the digital distribution platforms or brick and mortar stores, meaning it's never been cheaper to put on spandex and fly around a virtual city. Well, unless you want to play City of Heroes. The title debuted at number three in September's NPD data for PC sales, so it's obviously not doing too poorly, but a price drop this soon is never a good thing.

So far, reviews haven't been too friendly to Cryptic's most recent foray into the MMOspace. The few critics that have actually pulled themselves away from NCSoft's Aion to level up a hero have complained about an overabundance of bugs, a shoddy PvP system, and a general lack of entertainment value. It does a few things right, like being able to name a character anything, only having one "server," and featuring the most robust character creation tools in gaming, but when City of Heroes has been out for much longer and has years of polish and balance under its utility belt, it doesn't look like the developer brought enough to the table to compete in the hectic MMO market.

And, uh, yeah, you can count this as my review. Happy, Gamervision editors? You can leave me alone about reviewing it now. Seriously, it's fine. This counts, I promise. I'm going to go play more Aion now.

Uh, here:

How about now?
