Check Mii Out, Baby
November 11 For the New Wii Channel

Want a place to make new friends that you won’t be allowed to talk to or do anything with other then look at? Nintendo does, and knows you do too. The Check Mii Out channel is going to launch in just a few days and does all of that mediocrity and more!
This is a cool idea (see: gimmick) but I can’t help but feel that Nintendo’s resources could be much, much better spent. It really just depends on how deep they go with it. If there are daily or weekly contests where Nintendo tasks players with creating Mii characters that look like a certain person or game character this could end up being a worthy addition to the Wii.
It should be obvious that I am a fan of such things, so it would be hard for me to bash what could be my newest addicton.
The Check Mii Out channel is due to come out on the 11th of November, expect a blue light demanding your attention on that day.

That blue light used to make me so excited, now every time I see it I'm like, "Please don't be another Everybody Votes channel."
Well written, but a little harsh. It's clear that there is a new "casual" dimension to Nintendo, directed at parents and grandparents. Not every channel on Wii will be devoted to fans of games like Mario or Gears of War.
I see no reason to think that this won't be awesome... so far, all the Mii-related stuff has been fun.
I'm still upset that when you "sort by color" it doesn't do what I think it should.
