Cliffy_B Twitter Shut Down
So, Wait, it Wasn't Him?

The satirical twitter of Cliffy_B, named after and following the exploits of Gears of War designer Clifford Bleszinski, has been shut down by Epic games. The page featured tweets poking fun at the Cliffy B phenomenon and his occasionally overly machismo quotes, all the while finding time to take the occasional jab at Gears of War 2's faults. Two personal favorites were:
"After much testing, it looks like matchmaking is permanently broken. There are new maps though, only 800 Microsoft Points!"
"Gears didn't win Game of the Year because it's NOT GotY. It's game of the friggin' century! Best game in EXISTENCE! Take that GTA4!"
Ah, good times. Well, they're over, and official word is that Epic asked Twitter to shut it down for "allegations of copyright violations," which sounds like a bit of crap. I can see why Epic would want to debunked, but I'm not entirely sure I back Twitter's decision to delete the account without a fight. It's not like Cliffy_B is a trademarked name, and there's nothing on Twitter that says you're not allowed to mention copywritten material, otherwise it would be much different website.
To follow Fakecliffy_b you can check out his twitter here, but having the word "fake" right on the page sort of ruins the illusion. It will still be entertaining, though, and I imagine much more brutal now that the bridge has been burnt.
